Getting Started –
Let's Connect
Therapy is a meaningful journey, and I’m honored you’re considering inviting me into yours.
It takes courage to move toward change. From the start, my goal is to make therapy feel clear—not vague or ambiguous. You should understand what we’re doing and why.
Within the first 3–5 sessions, I aim for you to have a concrete sense of whether working together feels worth your emotional and financial investment.
This process is a good fit if you’re looking for therapy that is collaborative, intentional, and focused on meaningful change—not just talking week to week without direction.

If anything on this website resonated with you, I’d love to connect. I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to help us get to know each other and address your questions before moving forward.
First 3 steps:
-
Reach out (form, email, or phone)
-
Schedule a free consultation
-
If it feels like a fit, begin with an intake session.
Step 1:
Contact Me
Reach out via a contact form submission or email (chelsea@cmcounselingcenter.com)
It’s helpful if you include:
-
Your name and contact information
-
A description of what you're seeking
-
Any initial questions you have for me
I’ll respond within 24 hours, answer your questions, and offer times for a phone consultation within the next week. I reserve up to 30 minutes so you have space to ask questions and get a feel for whether working together is a good fit.
Step 2:
Free Phone Consultation
Duration: Up to 30 minutes
This call will give an initial feel of what working together would look like. It’s important to me to have time to understand what you’re seeking—and just as important for you to get a feel for me and how I work.
Based on what you are sharing, I’ll describe how I can help, or suggest a path that may better serve you. There’s no pressure to commit–just a space to learn more and see what next step makes sense to you.
What we'll cover:
-
Your background and what you're hoping to get out of therapy
-
My approach and how I work
-
Any questions about therapy, my style, or other factors important to you
-
Rates and session frequency
-
Scheduling a first session if you want to move forward
Step 3:
Intake Session
Scheduling: Typically available within 2 weeks of our consultation call.
Duration: 50-60 minutes
This is a space where we begin developing a deeper understanding of your story, the patterns that may be shaping your experiences, and what you’d like to change.
If it feels appropriate, we may begin introductory IFS work (such as parts mapping) to help you start connecting with your internal system.
